AAHPER Youth FItness Test: It is a test which measures your physical fitness and endurance. All the students must undergo a warm up session before the test. Students must be medically fit to join the test. There must be performance card maintained so that when a retest is done, progress may be noted. Norms have been developed using percentiles based on age. The following are the test items included in A.APHER youth Fitness test battery:
(a) Pull-ups (for boys)
(b) Flexed arm hang (for girls)
(c) Sit-ups
(d) Shuttle run
(e) Standing long (broad) jump
(f) 50 yard dash
(g) 600 yard run/walk.
