It is found that every year almost 30 lakh candidates apply for this exam but, only 15 lakhs appear for it. candidates who want to get success in this exam must be well aware of all the SSC CGL Eligibility to apply. candidates must note there are four aspects of the eligibility, Citizenship, Age limit, Educational Skills, and physical fitness (depends on the applied post in the SSC CGL Exam).

We already know by now that eligibility has four aspects so, let’s have a look at the details.
Candidates of the SSC CGL exam must be any of the following to pass the 1st aspect of eligibility that is Citizenship.
The Candidates must be a citizen of India or a subject of Nepal or Bhutan.
He or She can be a refugee from Tibet, who had come to India before January 1st, 1962, to settle down here forever.
The Candidates can be a person of Indian origin, who arrived from East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, Sri Lanka, Burma, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zaire, Ethiopia, Zambia, Malawi, and Pakistan, to settle down in India forever.
A Candidate can also be a person who was been issued a certificate of eligibility by the Government of India.
If the Candidate is a person who has not yet received the certificate of eligibility by the Government of India, will be allowed to appear for the exam however job will only be made after he or she submits the same.

A) For ex-servicemen who have spent at least 5 years in Military Service as on the closing date of receipt of applications and have been released including posts of Commissioned Officers and ECOs / SSCOs, the age relaxation will be a maximum of 5 years.
The Ex-servicemen who have completed a minimum 5 years term of service or who are about the complete 5 years term of their service within one year of application receipt closing date can also apply. If the Ex-serviceman has not been released from his duties for misconduct or inefficiency.
An Ex-serviceman released due to disability while working in military service is also fit to apply.
A Personal released from active service due to wounds or illness is also fit to apply.
B) Maximum 5 years of age relaxation is also allowed to Ex-service personnel (ECOs/ SSCOs) whose project in Military service has been extended beyond 5 years or that person who had been issued a certificate from the Ministry of Defence that they can apply for civil jobs and will be released with 3 months notice from the date they are given an offer letter.
C) For Ex-servicemen in the Armed Forces, the “Call up service” time should also be counted for the purpose of Age relaxation.

A Candidates holding Degrees, Diplomas, and Certificates issued by the Universities founded under an Act of Parliament or State Legislature, Institutions Deemed to be Universities under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 and Institutions of National Importance declared under an Act of Parliament, are treated fitly for the job under SSC of the govt of Indian if the certificates are approved by Distance Education Bureau, University Grants Commission.
The programs in engineering, medicine, dental, nursing, pharmacy, architecture, and physiotherapy, etc do not fall under Open and Distance Learning mode as declared by UGC (Open and Distance Learning) Regulations, 2017, as in Official Gazette on 23.06.2017
All educational certificates and mark sheets are required to be given at the time of Document verification. If the Candidates fails to do so they would not be treated as fit for the job.

No, a physical ability test is only needed for certain posts under the CBN and CBI. Please follow the Physical Ability table to know more.
