SSC CGL Exam 2021:

The SSC CGL Notification 2021 has been released by the Staff Selection Commission on 29th December 2020. The application window of SSC CGL 2021 was open from 29 December 2020 to 31 January 2021. The candidates who possess the SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria can be allowed to participate in the Tier 1 exam that will be held from 29 May 2021 to 07 June 2021. The candidates can check the SSC CGL Exam Dates for the year 2020-2021 in the space below. An important thing to note here is that the dates mentioned here are tentative in nature and are subject to change.

Note:

Due to the current pandemic situation, the Staff Selection Commission has decided to postpone the CBE exam or SSC CGL Tier 1 that was scheduled on 29th May 2021. However, further dates have not been provided yet. SSC will declare the new dates through the official website.

SSC CGL Notification 2021 on Eligibility Criteria:

The SSC CGL Eligibility Criteria is released by the commission and judges the candidates on three parameters i.e. age limit, educational qualification and physical standard. The candidates who possess all three are called to appear for the Tier 1 exam of the SSC CGL. However, the candidates who fail to clear the eligibility are being rejected by the commission

Nationality:

The candidate applying for the SSC CGL 2021 should be a citizen of India. However, the candidates who have migrated from Nepal, Bhutan or Tibet should have proof of their Indian citizenship before applying for the exam.

The Staff Selection Commission has released the age limit for the SSC CGL, however, the age limit is different for all the posts released by the commission in the space below

SSC CGL Notification 2021 Educational Qualification:

The candidates who wish to apply for the SSC CGL 2021 exam should have passed a Bachelor course from a recognized University. While the candidates applying for the post of AAO should have CA/CS/MBA/Cost & Management Accountant/ Masters in Commerce/Masters in Business Studies. The candidates applying for JSO should have Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University. / Institute, with at least 60% Marks in Mathematics at the 12th standard level. / Bachelor’s Degree in any subject, with Statistics as one of the degree level subjects.

SSC CGL Notification 2021 on Physical Standards:

The SSC CGL 2021 has also some vacancies for the post of Sub Inspector, the candidates who will be applying for the same must be qualifying for the Physical Standard Test.

SSC CGL Notification 2021 on Exam Pattern:

The SSC CGL Exam Pattern comprises four stages i.e. Tier 1 and Tier 2 are computer-based written tests while Tier 3 is a descriptive paper and Tier 4 is a Skill Test. The candidates will be required to clear the SSC CGL Cut off of each level to pass the selection process and get an appointment as an employee.

SSC CGL Tier 1:

TIER 1 will be a computer-based test and will contain four subjects. The students will get 2 marks for the correct answer while there will be a negative marking of 0.50 per wrong answer.

SSC CGL Tier 2:

The TIER 2 will be a computer-based test and will contain four subjects. The first two papers will be compulsory while the last two will be based on choice. The students will get 1 mark for the correct answer while there will be a negative marking of 0.25 per wrong answer.

SSC CGL Tier 3:

The Tier III of the SSC CGL Exam is conducted offline. It is a descriptive exam and candidates will be asked to write essays, letters, applications, and precis. This exam will be held either in English or Hindi language. The phase of the exam is to test the writing skills of the candidates. Candidates are suggested to follow the latest letter and application writing formats. Candidates are also suggested to read daily newspapers, articles, and magazines to get success in this phase of the exam.

SSC CGL Tier 4:

Tier IV is the final part of the exam. It is based on data entry speed, computer proficiency, and data verification.
Candidates will need to type at the rate of 2000 words in 15 mins. Data entry speed is mainly tested for posts of Taxation (Central Excise & Income Tax).
The computer proficiency test consists of three modules, Word Processing, Spreadsheet and Generation of Slides. This is the target skill set test for posts like

• Assistant Section Officer in CSS.
• MEA & AFHQ.
• Assistant in the Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.
• Assistant (GSI) in the Ministry of Mines.
• Inspector (Central Excise).
• Inspector (Preventive Officer) & Inspector (Examiner) in CBIC.

SSC CGL Notification 2021 on Admit Card:

The Commission releases the SSC CGL Admit Card 2021 once the application process is over for the eligible candidates. The candidates can find the link to SSC CGL 2021 Admit Card on the official website. The commission releases the hall ticket of all the candidates separately and the candidates are required to use their Registration Number and Password to get access to the admit card. The admit card of CGL consists of the important details i.e. Candidate’ name, Roll Number, Test venue, Exam Date etc. The candidates who fail to carry the admit card are not allowed to appear in the examination of SSC.

SSC CGL Notification 2021 on Result 2021:

The SSC releases the SSC CGL Result 2021 for all the tiers separately on the official website. The candidates are required to keep a tab on the official website of the commission to get the latest updates regarding the result. The candidates can simply visit the official website and then log in with their Registration Number and Password to download the check the result. All the candidates who are successful clear the SSC CGL Cut Off 2021 will be called for other Tiers of the Selection Process.

Can a student of the final year of graduation appear for SSC CGL Exam?

The candidates in the final year of their graduation can also apply, however they must possess a pass certificate on or before 01-01-2021.

Is there any negative marking in SSC CGL 2021 Exam?

The commission will have a negative marking on all the tiers of the SSC CGL Tier I and Tier-II exam. In fact, there will be a deduction of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer in Tier-II. There is no sectional negative marking and no negative marking is there to leave a question blank or not answered in both Tier-I and Tier-II Exam.

How many times can candidates attempt the SSC CGL exam?

Candidates can attempt the SSC CGL exam as many times as possible if they fulfil the age limit and other terms of eligibility for the SSC CGL Exam.

SSC CGL Exam is conducted online or offline?

SSC CGL Tier-I and Tier-II exams are done online, however, Tier III is an offline descriptive paper and Tier IV is a Skill test of Data entry speed and computer skill.
