The Staff Selection Commission has declared the SSC Stenographer exam date for 2021. As per the official notice, the SSC exams are scheduled between 5th May – 7th May 2021. SSC Stenographer Apply Online Process:
Step I:
- Open the Official website of SSC and click on the Apply button which is the top header bar.
- Next, look at the bar below the main header and select SSC Stenographer C & D.
- Click on the application form and select your grade either C or D.
- Now enter your basic details i.e. your Name, Gender, DOB, Father’s name etc.
- DOB should be the same as it in the matriculation certificate.
- Now look for a field provided to enter Captcha and put it accordingly.
Step II:
- Moving ahead you will get a new page to fill in your personal contact details like an Email address and phone number.
- Enter the Captcha in its box and submit.
- Remember to fill in your own mobile number and your own email, because you will receive an OTP or one-time password to confirm your contact details.
- You will be redirected to upload your photo and signature.
Step III:
- Photo and signature uploading instructions will be found on the SSC Stenographer Online Application page.
- Now select your particular exam center along with the code applicable.
- Mention the category code and post you are applying for.
- Choose your educational qualification in the application form.
Step IV:
- Put your contact details correctly for further communication.
- Check the preview and submit the form.
- Check everything in the form before you finally hit the submit form to avoid any kind of mistakes that you might have made in the application form.
- Now you can pay the application fees.
- You can pay both online and offline.

SSC Stenographer Apply Online Fee:
- The application fee payable is Rs 100 for unreserved, OBC, EWS category entrants.
- Entrants of SC, ST, PwD, Ex-servicemen category and female entrants do not have to pay the application fee.
- You can pay the application fee through- Net banking/ Debit card/ Credit Card/ or BHIM UPI.
- Whereas if the entrant wants to pay the fee offline they have to generate an e-challan.
- Entrants can walk into ant SBI bank branch along with that challan and make the payment.
It is very important to follow the instructions for uploading images and signature in the application form. Your application can get canceled if you don’t upload an image or signature in the correct format. Go through the instructions given below to upload the image and signature:
SSC Stenographer Apply Online – Photo Uploading:
- The photograph should be a colored one and not black and white.
- It should passport size with white background.
- The image size should be 3.5 cm X 4.5 cm.
- Now scan the photo and save it in JPEG/ JPG format.
- The image size should not exceed 20-50 Kb.
- Photographs should be taken in the recent past if the entrant is uploading it in Jan 2021 he could use an image taken in December 2021.
- You must take the photo from a professional studio and must have a clear view of the entrant’s face.
- Don’t wear any accessories like sunglasses or a cap while the picture is being taken.
- The image must have a 50% area covered by the face of the entrant.
- Do not cover your head, eye, nose, chin with hair, clothes or any shadow.
- The entrants wear glasses, he or they must ensure that the photo does not have glare in it.
- The image must match the entrant’s look on the day of examination.
- Disable entrants must upload an image proving their disability, which they have also used in disability certificates.
- Entrants should keep at least 12 copies of the same picture as they may require it in the further exam or document verification.
SSC Stenographer Apply Online – Signature Uploading:
- The signature should be done with a black coloured ink pen, on white paper within a box size(3.5 cm [width] X 3.0 cm [height]).
- Entrants must sign in running letters, not in a block or capital letters.
- The scanned image of the signature should be in JPG/JPEG format with a resolution of 100 DPI.
- Dimensions of the image must be 3.0 cm (width) X 3.0 cm (height).
- The signature image size must be between 20-50 KB.
SSC Stenographer Apply Online – SC/ST Certificate Uploading:
- The scanned image of the certificate should be in JPG / JPEG format.
- The size of the scanned image should be between 50-100 KB.
SSC Stenographer 2021 – Admit Card Download:
- First, go to the official website of SSC.
- Click on the admit card button.
- Check for the admit card download link of SSC Stenographer 2021.
- Now enter your details like roll no, DOB, and your name.
- Enter all the details and submit.
- You will reach the admit card page.
- Download the admit card and print it for further use.
