The candidates can pay the application fee via both offline and online mode including Net Banking, Mastercard/Debit Card, or cash deposit in any SBI Bank branch. Candidates (excepting Female/SC/ST candidates who are exempted from payment of fee) are required to pay a fee of Rs. 200/- (Rupees Two Hundred Only).

A candidate must be unmarried and must either be:
(i) a Citizen of India, or
(ii) a subject of Nepal, or
(iii) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire and Ethiopia or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii) and (iii) above shall be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. Certificate of eligibility will, however, not be necessary in the case of candidates who are Gorkha subjects of Nepal. A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary, may be admitted to the examination provisionally subject to the necessary certificate being given to him/her by the Govt. before declaration of result by UPSC.
(i) For IMA—Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January, 1998 and not later than 1st January, 2003 only are eligible.
(ii) For Indian Naval Academy—Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January, 1998 and not later than 1st January, 2003 only are eligible.
(iii) For Air Force Academy— 20 to 24 years as on 1st January, 2022 i.e. born not earlier than 2nd January, 1998 and not later than 1st January, 2002 (Upper age limit for candidates holding valid and 7 current Commercial Pilot Licence issued by DGCA (India) is relaxable upto 26 yrs. i.e. born not earlier than 2nd January, 1996 and not later than 1st January, 2002 only are eligible.
(iv) For Officers’ Training Academy—(SSC Course for men) unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd January, 1997 and not later than 1st January, 2003 only are eligible.
(v) For Officers’ Training Academy—(SSC Women Non-Technical Course) Unmarried women, issueless widows who have not remarried and issueless divorcees (in possession of divorce documents) who have not remarried are eligible. They should have been born not earlier than 2nd January, 1997 and not later than 1st January, 2003.
(i) For I.M.A. and Officers’ Training Academy, Chennai — Candidates should possess a Degree from a recognised University or equivalent.
(ii) For Indian Naval Academy—Candidates should possess a Degree in Engineering from a recognised University/Institution.
(iii) For Air Force Academy—Candidates should possess a Degree from a recognised University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering.

Intelligence & Personality Interview
There is a difference between the CDS 2 examination pattern of Officer Training Academy and Indian Naval Academy/Indian Military Academy/Indian Air Force.
The Indian Naval Academy//Indian Air Force/ Indian Military contains 3 sections which carry a maximum of 300 marks. The time duration of each exam is 2 hours.
There are two sections in the Officer Training Academy (OTA) exam. The exam carries a total of 200 Marks. The overall duration of both the exams is 4 hours i.e 2 hours for each paper.
The applicants must prepare and be ready for the upcoming UPSC CDS 2 Exam. The applicants must prepare a study schedule to complete the studying of the UPSC CDS 2 syllabus mentioned in the Notification. The SSB procedure comprises two-stage Selection processes – stage I and stage II. Only those candidates who qualify in stage I are allowed to appear for stage II. The details are mentioned below:-
(a) Stage I comprises of Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) tests are Picture Perception* Description Test (PP&DT). The candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of their performance in both the OIR Test and PP&DT.
(b) Stage II Comprises Interview, Group Testing Officer Tasks, Psychology Tests, and the Conference. These tests will be conducted over 4 days.

The Stipend to Gentlemen or Lady Cadets during the entire duration of training in Service Academies i.e. during the training period at IMA and OTA is ₹ 56,100 per month. On successful commissioning, the pay in the Pay matrix of the Officer commissioned shall be fixed in first Cell of Level 10 and the period of training shall not be treated as commissioned service and arrears on account of admissible allowances, as applicable, for the training period shall be paid to cadets
