For nth order reaction,
the units of rate constant \(=\left(\operatorname{mol} L^{-1}\right)^{1-n} \cdot \mathrm{s}^{-1}\).
(where, \(n=\) order of reaction)
\(\therefore\) For first order reaction,
the units of rate constant \(=\left(\operatorname{mol} L^{-1}\right)^{1-1} \cdot s^{-1}=s^{-1}\)
