Q. A hollow metal sphere of radius \(5 \mathrm{~cm}\) is charged such that the potential on its surface is \(10 \mathrm{~V}\). The potential at the centre of the sphere is.
A zero
B \(10 \mathrm{~V}\)
C same as at a point \(5 \mathrm{~cm}\) away from the surface
D) same as at a point \(25 \mathrm{~cm}\) away from the surface

Solution:
Electric potential at any point inside a hollow metallic sphere is constant. Therefore, if potential at surface is \(10 \mathrm{~V}\), potential at centre will also be \(10 \mathrm{~V}\).
