 \(\Delta \mathrm{G}\) is negative as process is spontaneous.
\(\Delta \mathrm{S}\) is negative due to association.
Therefore to make \(\Delta \mathrm{G}\) negative, \(\Delta \mathrm{H}\) must be negative.
