Central Glass & Ceramic Research Institute, CSIR has invited applications from enthusiastic researchers to fill up the vacant posts of Scientists. CGCRI is one of the oldest Research and Development laboratories of CSIR. It is an autonomous body under the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Ministry of Science and Technology, GOI.

CGCIR has released vacancies to recruit eligible candidates for the post of Scientist. The number of vacancies may vary as per the actual requirement of the Institute. The candidates recruited in CSIR will receive usual allowances as admissible to the Central Government employees. This includes Dearness Allowance, House Rental Allowance, Travel Allowance, etc. These allowances will apply to all the employees stationed in Kolkata/Khurja/Naroda. Council employees are also eligible for accommodation as per the CSIR allotment rules.
The candidates will also receive other benefits such as the applicability of the New Pension Scheme 2004, Leave Travel Concession, reimbursement of Medical Expenses, Conveyance Advance and House Building Advance. Besides, the scientists of CSIR are allowed to undertake consultancy and Sponsored Research and Development Projects. These activities give them scope to earn consultancy fees.
