RRB NTPC Online Application for the exam 2021 is going to end in March 2021. Entrants who want to apply for the exam should know about the RRB NTPC Eligibility 2021. Eligibility is the first thing to check because only if the entrants meet all the eligibility criteria their application will be accepted. It is important to keep all your paperwork handy while applying for the exam because in the application process itself you may need to upload a few certificates to prove your eligibility. All the certificates supporting your eligibility will also be required during document verification.

The RRB NTPC eligibility criteria have four pillars i.e citizenship, education qualification, Age limits and medical fitness. Entrants should meet all the criteria to apply for RRB NTPC jobs. All the documents to support the eligibility of an entrant must be present. If an entrant is shortlisted he or she will have to submit those documents.

RRB NTPC Eligibility 2021 – Citizenship Criteria:

Citizenship is the 1st criteria that and entrants must consider before applying for RRB NTPC. The details of Citizenship is given below:

  • The entrant must be a citizen of India or a subject of Nepal or Bhutan.
  • He or She can be a refugee from Tibet, who had come to India before January 1st, 1962, to settle down here forever.
  • The entrant can be a person of Indian origin, arrived from East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, Sri Lanka, Burma, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zaire, Ethiopia, Zambia, Malawi, and Pakistan, to settle down in India forever.
  • An entrant can also be a person who was been issued a certificate of eligibility by the govt of India.
  • If the entrant is a person who has not yet received the certificate of eligibility by the govt of India, will be allowed to appear for the exam however job will only be made after he or she submits the same.

Now you already know about the very basic eligibility criteria i.e. citizenship. We will not have a look at the next most important criteria that is the Age limit for RRB NTPC.

RRB NTPC Eligibility 2021 – Age Limits Criteria:

All aspirants should be between the age group of 18 years to 33 years as in the present year 2021. However, age relaxation is also applicable for candidates under reserved categories like Sc, ST, OBC, etc.

Age Limits – Under Grad Posts:

7 30 Years + the years of service or 5 years, whichever is lower. UR Entrants, working in Quasi-Administrative offices of the Railway organization i.e. Railway Canteens, Co-operative Societies and Institutes.
33 Years + the years of service or 5 years, whichever is lower. OBC- NCL
35 Years + the number of years in service or 5 years, whichever is lower. SC & ST
8 35 UR Female entrants, who are widowed, divorced or judicially separated from their husband but did not remarry.

The table above shows the educational qualification required for specific RRB job posts. Entrants must keep in mind that they should apply and choose job posts accordingly. There is an obvious difference in the RRB NTPC Salary Package according to the job posts.

The last but not the least criteria of eligibility is the medical standards that are allowed for various posts. Let’s have a look into the details of the medical standards allowed per post:

Medical Standards Required:

According to RRB NTPC Notification 2021, the medical standards are as follows:

  • Distance Vision of the entrant must be 6/9, 6/9, with or without glasses. (Power of the lenses should not be anything more than 2D).
  • The near vision should be 0.6, 0.6, with or without glasses while reading or close distance view is needed.
  • Likewise, they must also pass some other tests related to vision that are Colour vision test, Myopic vision, Night Vision and Binocular Vision.
3 The entrants must be physically fit in all respect. B-2
  • Distance Vision of the entrant must be 6/9, 6/12, with or without glasses. The power of the lenses should not be anything more than 4D.
  • The near vision should be 0.6, 0.6, with or without glasses while reading or close distance view is needed.
  • These entrants must also pass some other tests related to vision that is, Binocular Vision.
4 Entrant must be physically fit in all respect. C-2
  • Distance Vision of the entrant must be 6/12, nil, with or without glasses.
  • The near vision should be 0.6, with or without glasses while reading or close distance view is needed.
