XAT Exam Pattern 2022: Updated
XAT Exam has been conducted in paper-based mode till the year 2017. Post that candidates have to sit for the XAT exam in computer-based mode. Note: There are in total 100 questions in the XAT question paper combined. The XAT Question paper consists of both Part 1 and Part 2. There is no sectional time limit for the XAT exam.
XAT Exam Pattern 2022: Marking Scheme
Like every competitive exam, the XAT exam also follows a set of marking rules. The candidates are working hard to crack the XAT exam. However, it is a must to be aware of the marking structure of the XAT Exam. It is very similar to the Common Admission Test (CAT). However, it does have its own rules in the case of marking.

XAT Exam Pattern 2022: New Updates (Imp)
The XAT Exam pattern has evolved over years. The XAT registered students must carefully consider the latest updates in the XAT pattern.
Read below to understand the different changes that occurred in XAT Exam Pattern 2022.
1. New Type of questions
The board has introduced a new type of question in the XAT Question paper. The XAT Exam pattern mostly consists of MCQ-based questions. The new type of questions is called Numerical Answer Type (NAT) Questions. The candidates must use the virtual keyboard on the computer screen to answer these questions.
2. Unanswered questions
XAT 2022 Is one exam wherein the candidates will face penalties for unanswered questions. In case the number of unattempted questions exceeds 8, the 0.10 mark will be deducted per question.
3. No Essay Writing
One of the most time-consuming sections has been eliminated. There will be no Essay Writing under the XAT Exam Pattern 2022.
4. XAT Exam Time span
Previously the candidates had to finish the XAT Exam paper within 3 hours 30 minutes. However, as per the latest changes, the maximum time allowed is 3 hours.
5. Time for Visually Impaired students
This is a very good chance which some of the candidates will get the benefit. As we know, many physically handicapped students also sit for XAT Exam. Under the updated XAT Exam pattern, visually impaired candidates will get 25 minutes extra to finish the paper. This is applicable only for Part 1. The time span remains the same as earlier for the General Knowledge section.
