A Candidate must be either:
(a) a citizen of India, or
(b) a subject of Nepal, or
(c) a subject of Bhutan, or
(d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or (e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka or East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania(formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and
(e) above shall be a person in whose favor a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
The maximum age limit of the candidates to apply for UPSC Assistant Director Recruitment should be 30 years.
The age limit shown against all items is the normal age limit and the age is relaxable for SC/ST candidates up to 5 years and up to 3 years for OBC candidates in respect of vacancies reserved for them.
The upper age limit is relaxable for Central/U.T. Government. Servants up to 5 years as per instructions issued by the Government of India from time to time.

Chartered Accountant or Cost and Management Accountant or Company Secretary or Chartered Financial Analyst or Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Finance) or Masters in Business Administration (Finance) or Master’s of Business Economics or Masters in Commerce or Bachelors in Law. One year’s experience in audit or forensic audit from any government or listed private organization.
Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a recognized university or institute. Two year’s experience of practicing in a court of law.

Candidates should make the payment of a fee of Rs. 25/- (Rupees Twenty-five) only either by remitting the money in any branch of the SBI by cash or by using the SBI net banking facility or by using visa/master credit/debit card. There is no fee for SC/ST/PH/Women candidates of any community. No “fee exemption” is available for the male candidates belonging to Gen/OBC/EWS and they are required to pay the full prescribed fee.
