Indian Air Force has released notification for 2021 recruitment for 334 posts on 1 June 2021. Eligible candidates can apply before 30 June 2021 on its official website. As per the official notice, the online exam will be conducted on 28, 29 and 30 August 2021. The recruitment is done for Ground Duty Technical and Non-Technical Branches and NCC Special and Meteorological entry.

AFCAT vacancies are released separately for different branches. 10% seats out of CDSE vacancies for Permanent Commission and 10% seats out of AFCAT vacancies for Short Service Commission are reserved for NCC special entry flying branch. Other vacancies are stated below:

AFCAT Online Form 2021- Age Qualification

Age limit required to apply for the exam are 20 to 24 years for AFCAT Flying Batch i.e. born between 02 July 1998 to 01 July 2002  and is 20 to 26 years for Ground Duty (Technical/Non technical) i.e. born between 02 July 1996 to 01 July 2002. Age relaxation in the upper limit is given for the candidates holding valid and current Pilot License issued by DGCA and is relaxable upto 26 years.

AFCAT Online Form 2021- Educational Qualification

  1. Flying Branch – Bachelor’s degree in any stream from a recognized university with 60% marks and must have passed 12th class with 50% marks in Physics and Mathematics.
  2. Aeronautical Engineering (Electronics)- Candidate must have passed 12th class with 60% marks in Physics and Chemistry with minimum 4 year graduate degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized university
  3. Aeronautical Engineering (Mechanical)- Candidate must have passed 12th class with 60% marks in Physics and Chemistry with minimum 4 year graduate degree in Engineering or Technology from a recognized university.
  4. Ground Duty (Administration) – Passed 12th class and graduate degree with minimum 60 % marks from a recognized university.
  5. Ground Duty (Education)- Passed 10+2 and Post-Graduation with 50% marks in any discipline including integrated courses offering PG.
  6. Meteorology – Passed 10+2 and Post Graduate Degree in any Science stream/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Geography/ Computer Applications/ Environmental Science/ Applied Physics/ Oceanography/ Meteorology/ Agricultural Meteorology/ Ecology & Environment/ Geo-physics/ Environmental Biology with minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of all papers.

How to fill the application form?

The application form is available online and the fee is 250/- for all candidates for AFCAT entry and rest are all exempted from paying the fees. The payment can be done through online mode.

  1. Visit the official website of Indian Air Force
  2. Register yourself by applying on the Application Registration Portal
  3. Fill in the details as asked in the form.
  4. Application ID and password will be generated for future use.
  5. Read the instructions carefully.
  6. Login with the details and fill in the personal details and other required fields.
  7. Upload the photo, signature and thumb impression as per the dimensions asked.
  8. Select the exam city as per your preference.
  9. Pay the application fee and submit it after verifying all the details.
  10. Take a printout of the application form for further use.
