The SBI Junior Associate works as a Single Window Operator.

• Acknowledgments of inward mail received.
• Receipt of cheques, drafts, dividend warrants, pay orders, and other like instruments other than bills and giving acknowledgment in the counterfoil.
• Delivery of cheque books subject to authorization by the competent authority.
• Issue cash receipts.
• Recounting of currency notes by cash department staff.
• Passing and a cash payment of all cheques/ withdrawal forms/ bankers’ cheques/ gift cheques etc.
• Passing independently clearing and transfer cheques, vouchers, (whether credits or debits)
• Receipts of cash and issuance of pre-signed drafts/ gift cheques/ travellers’ cheques/ pay order/ bank orders etc.

SBI Clerk Promotion Prospects 2021

The junior associate can be promoted three times in the working service every 10 years in which seniority plays a vital role. During the 10 years of completion, they are promoted to Senior Assistant and after 20 years of completion of their service, they shall be promoted to Special Assistant. The final promotion promotes them to Senior Special Assistant. With every promotion, some increments are also provided to their allowances.
