SSC CHSL Tier II Overview: The Staff Selection Commission will conduct an SSC CHSL examination for recruitment to the posts of Lower Divisional Clerk/Junior Secretariat Assistant, Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant, and Data Entry Operators for various Ministries/ Departments/ Offices of the Government of India. The SSC CHSL Exam Pattern 2021 is simply divided into three Tiers. The Tier-I is computer-based objective-type questions will be there. The Tier-II exam will be descriptive type and Tier III is post-specific based on computer knowledge. SSC CHSL Tier II Overview: Exam Pattern

The tier II of the SSC CHSL Exam is conducted offline. It is a descriptive exam and candidates will be asked to write essays, letters, applications, and precis. This exam will be held either in English or Hindi language. The phase of the exam is to test the writing skills of the candidates. candidates are suggested to follow the latest letter and application writing formats. They should read daily newspapers, articles, and magazines to get success in this phase of the exam.

Section: Essay, Letter, Application, Precise Writing

Medium: English/Hindi.

Total Marks: 100

Duration: 1 hour

Note:

  • 20 minutes of compensatory time will also be provided to the candidates eligible for scribe. The Paper will comprise of writing Essay/ Letter/Application/ Precis etc.
  • The minimum qualifying marks in Tier-II would be 33 percent.
  • Candidates must write their correct Roll Numbers at the prescribed places on the cover page of the Answer Book. Candidates must also affix signature and Lefthand Thumb Impression in the relevant columns in the Answer Book.
  • Candidates shall not write any personal identity e.g. name, roll number, mobile number, address, etc. inside the Answer Book.

SSC CHSL Tier II Overview: Syllabus 2021

Tier II is a descriptive paper and candidates will be tested on the basis of their writing skills. They will be asked to write letters, essays, precis, and applications, depending on the post they have applied for. candidates will be given 1 hour of time for this paper and this paper can be written in English or Hindi. They must read newspapers, magazines, etc to develop their word stalk and writing skills.

The candidates should also know the latest letter and application writing formats. Some common topics basis on which you may have to write about are Politics, Sports, Technology, SSC CHSL 2021 Syllabus, Social Issues, and Environment. The minimum qualifying marks in Tier 2 would be 33%.

SSC CHSL Tier II Overview Syllabus 2021 Letter Writing Topics:

Note:

  • Minimum qualifying marks for the Tier II exam will be 33%.
  • Essays must be written within 200 to 250 words.
  • Letters must be written within 150 to 200 words.
  • The time limit is 1 hour.
