UPSC DCIO Recruitment 2021: Eligibility Criteria

UPSC has set certain eligibility criteria for this position. Applicants have to meet all eligibility criteria for this post. If any candidate could not meet any one of the criteria then they will eligible for this position. There is a total of three eligibility criteria has set by UPSC. The first eligibility criteria is an Age Limit, the Second is Educational Qualification and the third one is Nationality. UPSC DCIO Eligibility Criteria 2021: Educational Qualification

  1. The candidate should have a bachelor’s in Engineering (B.E or B.Tech).
  2. B.Sc (Engg) awarded by a recognized University in the fields of Electronics.
  3. B.Sc in Electronics and Telecommunication.
  4. B.Sc in Computer Science and Computer Engineering
  5. B.Sc in Engineering and Information Technology.
  6. Candidates should hold a Master’s degree in Computer Applications.
  7. Master degree in Computer Science from a recognized University.

UPSC DCIO Eligibility Criteria 2021: Nationality

A candidate must be either:

  1. a citizen of India. or
  2. a subject of Nepal. or
  3. a subject of Bhutan, or
  4. a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently setting in India.

UPSC DCIO Recruitment 2021: Duties

Before applying for this position candidates have to know about all the duties. Because in this position employees have to perform all the duties and responsibilities correctly.

  1. Supervision of operation & maintenance of communication network/equipment.
  2. Maintenance & Operati0on of cyber security/forensics equipment.
  3. R&D work, mainly dealing with electronics & telecommunication.

  5. Supervision of maintenance & operation of Audio, video & CCTV equipment.

UPSC DCIO Recruitment 2021: Application Fee

Candidates are required to pay Rs. 25/- (Rupees Twenty-five) only either by remitting the money in any branch of the SBI by cash or by using net banking facility of the SBI or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit card. There is No fee for SC/ST/PWD/Women candidates of any community. UPSC has strictly mentioned that applications without the prescribed fee would not be considered and summarily rejected. Candidates should remember that Fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances nor can the fee the held in reserve for any other examination.

UPSC DCIO Recruitment 2021: Important Documents

In the online application, candidates have to submit some major documents which are related to their work experience, age proof and etc. UPSC has clearly mentioned that without these documents any candidates are not eligible for the interview.

  1. Candidates must upload the documents/certificate in support ao all the claims made by them in the application like Date of Birth, Experience (preferably in prescribed format), Desirable Qualifications, etc. or any other information, separately against each claim in pdf file in such a way that the file size does not exceed 1 MB for the respective aforesaid modules and 2 MB for the “UPLOAD OTHER DOCUMENTS” module and is legible when a printout is taken.
  2. Matriculation/10th Standard or equivalent certificate indicating date of birth or mark sheet of Matriculation/10th standard or equivalent issued by Central/State Board indicating Date of Birth in support of claim age
  3. Degree/Diploma certificate as proof of educational qualification claimed. In the absence of degree/diploma certificate, provisional certificate along with mark sheets pertaining to all the academic years.
  4.  Certificate in the prescribed proforma from the Heads of Organizations for the entire experience claimed, clearly mentioning the duration of employment (date, month & year) indicating the basic pay and consolidated pay. The certificate should also mention the nature of duties performed/experience obtained in the post with duration.
  5. Caste certificate by candidate reservation as SC/ST/OBC, in the prescribed proforma from the competent authority indicating clearly the candidate’s Caste, the Act/Order under which the caste is recognized as SC/ST/OBC, and the village/town the candidate is ordinarily a resident of.

What is Upsc DCIO?

DCIO is a General Central Service Group-A Gazetted, Non-Ministerial. Candidates will be posted at New Delhi and the post carries all India transfer liability. Selected candidates will be on probation for 1 year.

What is the salary of DCIO?

The Deputy Central Intelligence Officer Salary as per the 7th-grade pay Commission. They get Salary around 67,000/- to 85000/- per month. The selected candidates will be appointed in the Level-11 position and will get Pay Matrix as per the 7th CPC.

How do you become a DCIO IB?
