The IBPS PO Prelims Exam is conducted online and has 3 sections: Eng. Lang., Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning Ability each section with a time duration of 20 mins., in total 60 mins. The question in the exam is all objective type, MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions). Ques asked in this exam are from 10th standards so it is advised to the entrant, that the basics should be clear as it will help them in achieving more marks. Also, the language used in the exam is bilingual which is Hindi and English language for the 2 sections except for the English Language section in which the question is asked in English.

The entrant must achieve the IBPS PO cut off marks of the IBPS PO Prelims exam to appear in the IBPS PO Main Exam. The IBPS PO Main exam is also online and obj. type ques. are asked. The entrants are not allowed to swap between the sections as each section is provided with different section timing.

It also needs to be mentioned that every wrong answer in both the exam will earn 0.25 negative marks to the entrant. So, it is best that if the entrant is not absolutely sure about the answer, he/ she should not attempt the question. As no negative marks are awarded for un-attempted question.
IBPS PO Interview is the final stage of the selection process of the IBPS PO post. The ques asked by the interviewer has no fixed pattern generally and is related to Banking, General, or Economy Awareness. The total marks for the IBPS PO Interview are 100, the IBPS PO cut off marks is 40 for the general category and for the EWS category it is 35.
