
DSSSB or Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board has declared vacancies for PGT Posts. DSSSB has declared a total of 710 PGT or Post Graduate Teacher vacancies. DSSSB is a huge opportunity for those students who are looking to forward their career in the teaching line. The vacancies were announced for various subjects like Biology, Chemistry, Commerce, English, etc.
Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board has announced the online application date and candidates applied online from 14th January 2021 to 13th February 2021. Candidates can apply online for this examination on the official website of DSSSB. Firstly they have to register themselves on the official website. Candidates who want to apply for this post should have to meet the eligibility criteria. There is a total of three eligibility criteria. Frist is an age limit, the second is an educational qualification and the third is Citizenship. Candidates should clear all three criteria for appearing in the DSSSB PGT exam.

For the examination, the age limit is an important eligibility criterion. There is two different age limit for two different posts. There is also has age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD and Departmental candidates, Ex-Servicemen Group B, C, Disabled Defence Services, Widow/divorced women/judicially separated and who are not married. All the age group has been mentioned below.

• According to DSSSB, for the PGT post candidate should have a Master’s Degree in the main subject from any recognized University.
• The candidate should also have a Degree/Diploma in training/Education.
• If the candidate has a Ph.D. Degree in the main subject from a recognized University or an Institution, in that candidates, have relaxation on this term.
• Appling for this post the B.Ed/B.T qualification has been mandatory.
• Appling in the post of Educational and Vocational Guidance Counselor candidates should have a Master’s Degree in Psychology from a recognized University or applicants at least must have a Diploma in guidance & counseling from a recognized University or Institution.
For applying in this post the candidates must be a citizen of India. They have identity and nationality proof as well. Because without the proofs they could not apply in this exam.
DSSSB PGT Examination conducts in two stages or two-tier. The first round or tier is called the General/Technical round. The syllabus of Tier one has been divided into two sections. Section A and B. The syllabus of DSSSB PGT Tier I is mention below.

Part One is made up with MCQ/Objective type questions based on the topics of General Intelligence & reasoning ability (higher level), Quantitative Aptitude (higher level), General Awareness ( Administrative set up and Governance in NCT of Delhi), English Language & comprehension (higher level). Part two is made up of Descriptive Questions. Candidates must have to clear all the tiers with good pass marks.
The Exam is held in two stages or two-tier. Tier I is also divided into two sections. In Section One there are MCQ questions of 100 marks and in Section Two there are also MCQ questions of 200 marks. Candidates should remember that there is negative marking applicable. That means if a candidate made a wrong answer then 0.25 marks will be deducted from the correct answers marks. DSSSB notified that the Tier I exam shall use only for shortlisting purposes and the Tier-II exam only for the selection process. The candidate should have to get qualifying marks for the selection process. General candidates, have to score 40% in both tiers, for OBC candidates they have to score 35%, and SC/ST/PH(PWD) candidates have to score 30% to pass out in the examination. Ex-servicemen will get 5% relaxation in their passing marks.

DSSSB has not set any exactly cut-off number in the examination. When the candidates apply in the examination they have to keep an eye on the previous year’s cut-off marks. The candidates need to pay the application fee only through SBI e-pay. DSSSB has been clearly mentioned that any other payment mode will not accept and the application of such candidates will be rejected. DSSSB never provides any hard copy to any candidate. DSSSB always releases their admit card only online from their official website. Candidates need to download their admit cards from the website and printed them on an A4 size white page. Candidates can download their admit cards with the help of their registered username and password.
After the examination, DSSSB will announce the result on its official website. Candidates will be selected in the form of a merit list. DSSSB announced the result after completing each tier. Candidates can simply visit the official website of DSSSB to check their results. If any candidate roll number or registration number is in the list then the candidate successfully cleared the exam. After the clearance of tier II DSSSB will call them for the Selection process.

DSSSB PGT (Post GraduateTeacher) is a state-level recruitment exam conducted by the Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) annually.

DSSSB has begun the registration process for TGT posts on 04 June 2021. Eligible candidates can apply for the posts through the official site of DSSSB. PGT exams which were scheduled to be conducted from 8 to 20 June 2021 has been postponed due to unavoidable circumstances caused due to covid-19.
