  • (Assistant Manager) Officer Scale-I:

IBPS or (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection) conducts various banking exams for public sector banks. The IBPS conducts the RRB exam every year. In 2021 IBPS will conduct the IBPS RRB Exam for various positions and entrants can start registering themselves from the 18th June till 4th July 2021. This exam aims to hire for various positions in Region Rural Banks. According to IBPS RRB Notification, IBPS had released about 8000+ vacancies through IBPS Official website in August 2021.

The IBPS RRB Exam is conducted in two phases. The prelim and the main exam. The exam date for each category of exam will be different. The entrants who would be successful in clearing the prelim exam will further go ahead for the main exam. Let’s have a look at the posts available.

Hindi Language:

The Hindi language will have the same kind of questions as in the English language. The question will be based on grammar. Topics will be more or less the same however the language of the exam will be Hindi.

 

Computer Knowledge:

Entrants who are in daily computer practice will not have much difficulty in grasping the knowledge of computer for the exam. Let’s have a look at the basis of the topic on which question may come in the IBPS RRB Exam:

This section will bring good marks to you if you study and memorize topis correctly. Entrants focus on studying this section every day.

Important Days. Sports. Science & Technology. International & National Organizations.
Current Affairs – National & International. National Movements of Indian History of Indian Books and Authors.

We are now aware of the IBPS RRB Syllabus and now we would check another very important aspect of the exam the IBPS RRB Eligibility. Entrants must cater to the criteria of eligibility or else their application will be cancelled. Let’s have a look:
IBPS RRB Notification on Eligibility:

The IBPS RRB Eligibility depends on four components the Nationality of an entrant, Educational qualification, Age limit and relaxation according to their categories, Disability reservations for various category of entrants. The very 1st thing that an entrant may check while filling the IPBS RRB Online Application form is the Eligibility criteria entrants should only apply for those benefits that they are entitled to according to the eligibility criteria. Or else if they have applied for some benefit for which they do not have valid documents their application will be cancelled by IBPS. Let’s have a look at the
IBPS RRB Eligibility Criteria for IBPS RRB Exam:

Nationality:

• The entrant must be a citizen of India or a subject of Nepal or Bhutan.
• A refugee from Tibet.
• A person of Indian origin, arrived from East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, Sri Lanka, Burma, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zaire, Ethiopia, Zambia, Malawi, and Pakistan, to settle down in India forever.
Now you already know about the very basic eligibility criteria i.e. citizenship. We will not have a look at the next most important criteria that is the Age limit for IBPS RRB.

Age Limit:

There are various posts within IBPS RRB and various post have different age limits. Let’s have a look into the age limit required for each post within IBPS RRB:

(Senior Manager) Officer Scale III 21-40 years (Should be born between 3/06/1987- 31/05/1998)
(Manager) Officer Scale-II 21-32 years (Should be born between 3/06/1987- 31/05/1998)
(Assistant Manager) Officer Scale I 18-30 years (Must be born between 03/06/1989 -31/095/2001)
(Multipurpose) Office Assistant 18-28 years (Should be born between 02/06/1991 -01/06/2001)

Apart from this, there will be age limit relaxation for OBC, SC, ST, Ex-servicemen according to the IBPS RRB Notification 2021.

Entrants must have, Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in any manner from a recognized University.

Should be proficient in local language as advised by RRB.

(Assistant Manager) Officer Scale-I:

Entrants must have, Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in any manner from a recognized University.

Special preference is given to degree holder in the following subjects: Horticulture, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Forestry, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Veterinary Science, Information Technology, Economics, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Law, Management, or Accountancy.

Should be proficient in local language as advised by RRB.

Computer knowledge as per Job post.

(Manager) General Banking Officer Scale-II:

Required Education Required Work Experience 
Entrants must have, Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in any manner from a recognized University with 50% marks.

Special preference is given to degree holder in the following subjects: Information Technology, Agricultural Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, Finance, Animal Husbandry, Marketing, Banking, Forestry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, & Cooperation, Management, Economics, Accountancy, Law.

Must have 2 years of work experience in a bank or other financial institutes.

Officer Scale-II Specialist Officers (Manager):

Educational Skills Work Experience Required
IT Officer

Entrants must have, Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in any manner from a recognized University in Communication / Computer Science / Electronics / Information Technology or equivalent with 50% marks.

Must have computer language knowledge preferably- certificate of OCP, PHP, ASP, Java, C++, VC, VB etc

Must have 1-year work experience in a similar industry.
Manager of Treasury

Entrant must be an MBA or CA from Recognized Institute or University.

Entrant must have 1-year work experience in a similar job role.
Chartered Accountant

Must have CA certification from the Institute of Chartered Accountant’s (India).

Must have 1-year work experience as CA.
Officer of Law

Law degree from Recognized University or equivalent with 50% score.

Must have 1-year work experience as CA.
Officer of Agricultural

Entrant must be a Graduate in following subjects: Horticulture, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Forestry, Dairy, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Veterinary Science, with 50% marks.

Entrant must have a 2-years work exam in a similar field.
Officer of Marketing

Entrants must be an MBA in Marketing from a recognized Institute or University.

Must have a 1-year work exam in a similar field.

(Senior Manager) Officer Scale-III:

Educational Skills Work Experience Required
Entrant must be a Graduate in following subjects: Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Agricultural Engineering, Agricultural Marketing, Accountancy, Banking, Co-operation, Economics, Finance, Forestry, Horticulture, Information Technology, Management, Marketing, Pisciculture, Law & Veterinary Science. Must have a 5-year work exam in a similar field.

 

The above table shows the educational qualification required as per job posts available within IBPS RRB. Now we will look into the last eligibility criteria of allowed disabilities for IBPS RRB Jobs:

Eligibility of Disable Entrants:

There will reservation for disabled entrants as well in the IBPS RRB Exam. These entrants are allowed various benefits like extra time in the exam or scribe option. However, each entrant applying under the disabled group must have a certificate of disability or may also be asked for a medical document. These documents have to carry in the interview round after the final selection.
Let’s have a look at which kind of disability is allowed in the exam:

• There will be reservation for Blind or entrants with low vision.
• Entrants who are deaf or hard of hearing.
• A person who has Locomotor Disability including leprosy cured, muscular dystrophy, cerebral palsy, dwarfism and acid attack victims.
• Entrants with intellectual disability, autism, mental illness
and specific learning disability.
• An entrant who has more than one disability is allowed too.
Now that we are aware of the IBPS RRB Eligibility criteria lets find out how to apply for this exam:
IBPS RRB Notification on Online Application:
• The online application form will be available on the Official website of IBPS.
• Entrants must select the preferred post to apply and then click on new registration.
• In the 1st part, the entrant will fill the basic info of the entrant.
• Next, they need to update contact details like phone number and email address.
• Entrants must put their own phone number and email so that they can verify it with the top or code sent in it.
• Photos, docs and sign will have to be uploaded in the format as in the official notice.
• Entrants will be then asked to pay the exam fees. The fee can be paid both in online and offline mode.
• After the fee is paid entrants must check IBPS RRB Online Application status and make sure it’s on complete status.
